Winning Interview Technique

For a successful interview, you need to master a winning interview technique. It takes a lot of effort to write an impressive CV, to start with. This is your first step towards getting a call for an interview. Once your CV is screened for an interview, the interview technique has to be mastered. Planning is very important before attending an interview.
Facing an interview is not that difficult as it seems if you are well prepared for it.

What is the master key to a great interview? Obviously, an unbeatable interview technique! The following guidelines will see you through the interview easily.

1. Dress appropriately:
While attending an interview, a good way to impress is by dressing well for the occasion. Don’t wear revealing outfits or jeans as they portray you as very casual and irresponsible. It is better to dress conservatively, unless the dress code is mentioned by the employers. One interview technique is to try out a formal wear before the interview. Also, groom yourself with a good hair cut and always present yourself in polished shoes.

2. Be Punctual:
Punctuality is a virtue which most employers look out for. Make sure that you reach the place of interview at fifteen minutes before the scheduled time. This way you can acquaint yourself with the surroundings, and also show that you are committed with this interview technique. Keep in mind that you do not reach too early or too late.

3. Body language says a lot:
The first time you meet the interviewer, give him a firm handshake. It gives a good impression about you. This is a sure-shot interview technique. Just like your verbal communication, you will be judged upon your non verbal communication as well. Moreover, remember not to do excessive hand movements, slouch or play with your keys or pen and stare at the interviewer panel.

4. Answer truthfully:
Your winning interview technique lies in being honest while answering the questions. Do not boast or emphasize your achievements and areas of expertise. The employers can figure out easily if you are lying about your career graph or anything else. Don’t lie to them and just say no if you really cannot answer a question. That will show that you are sincere in your approach. Also, don’t give an answer like you are reading a movie script. You should reply to the point and provide information that is required.

5. Keep your cool:
It is natural to be a little tensed during an interview. Keep yourself relaxed and confident when answering the questions. In case you feel that the interviewer is not happy with your answers, do not get disturbed at all. A composed personality is supposed to have the right interview technique.
One more interview technique is that always ask your queries after the interview is over, when you have the chance to do so. The interviewers tend to pressurize candidates by asking different questions, just to check whether they can handle it. Follow the interview technique by being yourself and be successful.
