When someone talks in front of people and they do not know what they are talking about, chances are that they will panic and end up ruining their speech.
The next part of your public speaking program should be praxis or practice. In this part of your program, you will be guiding your students on the actual public speaking. They will have to practice standing up in front of people and delivering speeches. Make sure that you are able to get a class of ten or more so that everyone can practice speaking in front of an ample number of people. It is important that you situate your students in scenarios that involve a lot of people so that they get rid of any publicity jitters before their speech.
When you watch and listen to your students speak in your public speaking program, it would be a good idea to videotape them. This will allow you and the student to review what happened during the public speaking simulation. You and the student will be able to watch and see what has to be improved and what has to be retained. This is a critical part of your program because it is important to be able to evaluate the students and allow them to get better later on.
